1. MYX bares this year's Music Awards nominees

MANILA, Philippines - Voting is officially on! The Myx Music Awards (MMA) finally announced this year�??s nominees in over 19 categories, including favorite artist, favorite group and favorite music video.

The MMA 2010 nomination night also featured rocking performances by some of the country�??s top music artists. The event was hosted by homegrown Myx VJs Robi, Bianca, Chino, Janine and Nel.

Last year�??s MMA favorite group award, 6cyclemind, opened the night with its hit song �??Kasalanan�?� followed by the up-and-coming rock band and favorite new artist nominee Letter Day Story. Both bands featured popular rapper Gloc-9, who is nominated in 6 categories.

Hale also brought the house down with its hit song �??Bahay Kubo,�?� which is nominated in the favorite music video category. Hale lead vocalist Champ hopes to win an award this year. If Hale gets lucky, this will be its first MMA victory.

Champ also proudly talked about his band's experience while shooting Hale�??s music video with actress Heart Evangelista, who is a nominee in the favorite guest appearance in a music video category.

2008? Gaya nga ng sabi ko kanina, I was so blessed and patuloy pa rin ang pagpasok ng blessings sa aking life. Sobrang exciting ng taong 2008 sa akin.


How was your experience doing Rachelle Rocks Live?

Well at first pressured kasi first time kong gagawa ng mga rock songs. First time ko din gumawa ng live album. Ginawa talaga namin yung album na ?yun talagang dire-diretso.Parang isang show. Nakakapagod. Nakakahingal. Pero sobra. Sobrang nag-enjoy ako. As much as possible ?di ba perfect talaga yung mangyayari?

4. Akon claims not knowing his true age

Even though Akon has a birth certificate, he says his age is still a mystery ? and he'd rather keep it that way.

"All it's going to do is depress me," he told The Associated Press in a recent interview. "I don't want to know I'm getting older. Then I'll start to think about getting checkups and insurance. I don't want that."
